Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s new lighting system includes indirect illumination provided by 36 roof segments, each equipped with four RGB and one red-only FL Arena floodlights. This set-up ensures atmospheric lighting throughout the football season. A total of 324 lights are installed on the inner rings, while 60 Quattro luminaires illuminate the stands, featuring both white and RGB chips to enhance the visual experience with vibrant colors. This system enables precise illuminance levels for high camera positions, ensuring consistent lighting quality. It also meets the stringent requirements for vertical illuminance in four orthogonal directions, optimizing visibility from multiple angles. Each floodlight is individually controllable, allowing for customizable lighting scenarios at the touch of a button. This advanced system not only meets but exceeds UEFA’s standards.
