As part of an energy refurbishment project, LEDVANCE equipped the areas of an old industrial building belonging to Harald Meyer Installationen GmbH with efficient and high-quality LED lighting.

If the use of a building changes, the requirements for the lighting of the areas also change and must be adapted accordingly. Harald Meyer Installationen GmbH was faced with this challenge after the rooms of an old industrial building in Sittensen were now to be used for storage purposes and as a workshop. In addition to adapting the lighting to the changed use, the lighting level in the building was also to be fundamentally improved and the energy efficiency significantly optimized.

LEDVANCE developed and implemented an LED-based lighting concept for the customer that was perfectly matched to the lighting requirements of the various areas used in the old building. HIGH BAY luminaires with reflectors were used in the high-storage warehouse and efficient DAMP PROOF luminaires in the manual storage hall and workshop. FLOODLIGHT PERFORMANCE and DAMP PROOF luminaires were installed in the roofed loading area of the building. In addition, the shower rooms were equipped with SURFACE CIRCULAR luminaires and the changing room with DOWNLIGHT luminaires.

The selected LED luminaires bring the right light to the right place and significantly increase the quality of light in the different areas. In addition, the maintenance effort and operating costs are reduced. The HIGH BAY luminaires provide homogeneous illumination in the high-rise storage area with high luminous flux and special optics. The robust DAMP PROOF luminaires are perfect for use in a damp and dusty warehouse. And the FLOODLIGHT PERFORMANCE ASYM luminaires now evenly illuminate the loading ramp with their asymmetrical light distribution. In addition, all installed luminaires meet the specifications of the German federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG).

The Harald Meyer Installationen GmbH commissioned LEDVANCE to plan and implement a new lighting concept for an old industrial building in Sittensen. With the combination of HIGH BAY, DAMP PROOF, FLOODLIGHT PERFORMANCE ASYM as well as SURFACE CIRCULAR and DOWNLIGHT luminaires, a lighting solution adapted to the individual areas was developed. A solution that increases lighting quality and energy efficiency, reduces operating costs and also enables the use of government subsidies.
