With the energy-efficient refurbishment using the VIVARES Zigbee and BIOLUX HCL Systems, the Harald Meyer Installationen GmbH is optimizing the working conditions for its employees, saving energy costs and benefiting from government subsidies.

The Harald Meyer Installationen GmbH wanted to replace the entire lighting in its office building in Sittensen with an efficient and intelligent lighting solution. For the planning and implementation of the new lighting concept, the structural and electrical conditions of the old building had to be taken into account. The criteria for receiving funding under the KfW Program 276 and the German federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG) also had to be met.

The customer contracted LEDVANCE with the refurbishment of the lighting in the entire office building. To meet the requirements of the funding programs, LEDVANCE's lighting concept relied on sensor-controlled lighting management systems that increase lighting quality, reduce energy costs, and flexibly adapt to the needs at the workstations. The wireless VIVARES ZIGBEE light management system with PANEL luminaires was installed in an open-plan office. Meeting rooms and individual offices with little daylight were equipped with the BIOLUX HCL system. DOWNLIGHT luminaires with motion sensors were installed in the reception area, corridors and toilets. 

With the energy refurbishment, the customer received a lighting concept that combines optimized lighting quality with interactive lighting solutions and significantly lower energy costs. Thus, regardless of the outdated electrical equipment in this old office building, the VIVARES ZIGBEE system enables a modern, efficient and sensor-controlled lighting solution. Even in the meeting rooms and individual offices with little daylight, the dynamic light adjustment of the BIOLUX HCL system and its selectable light modes create the optimal working lighting at all times. In the corridors and toilets, sensors for lighting control ensure energy-efficient lighting. The new lighting concept also meets all the requirements for obtaining government subsidies.
